Kristina is fiercely committed

to creating harmonious homes for hounds and humans with kindness and patience.

She’s not only an expert at training dogs but also at teaching humans how to effectively communicate with their pets so they can have a lot more fun together!

For as long as Kristina can remember, she’s had a strong love and affinity for all things furry. She started riding horses at four years old and jumping horses at five. She grew up with multiple cats and dogs, and her animals were always her best friends.

She began her formal exploration of animal behavior and the relationship between humans and their animal companions while getting her bachelor’s degree from USC, where she wrote an ethnography on healing and the human/ horse interaction.

She’s worked professionally with animals and their humans (including children) for over twenty years. She considers the needs and strengths of the individual dog and the family caring for them, then customizes a unique training plan—because each dog and their family are different.

Although there are no regulations for dog trainers, she’s sought out the best in the business for reward-based training and keeps to date with continuing education programs. See a list of her qualifications below.

You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for someone who is a trained, experienced professional and—

  • loves animals as much as you do.
  • believes pets are part of the family.
  • is patient, kind, and reliable.
  • is adamantly against any form of training that involves pain.
  • uses a science-backed, reward-based system for training dogs.

Qualifications:

Memberships:

  • Member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers (www.apdt.com)
  • Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (www.iaabc.org)

Did you know that the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) advocates and promotes reward-based training?

Here’s what one of Kristina’s clients has to say about her:

"She is our most trusted guardian. She loves and cares for our “boys” as much as we do.”

“Kristina has become much more than a “pet-sitter” for our wonderful dogs – Qter, a 17-year-old Silky Terrier, and Darby, our five-year-old Labradoodle. She is our most trusted guardian. She loves and cares for our “boys” as much as we do. They are so excited to see her, and we can honestly say she is part of our family. We give her our highest recommendation.”
